Energy Ball V100®
The Energy Ball® is an artistic spherical ‘wind vane’ with a diameter
of 1m, which you can use to generate some of your own electricity supply
soundlessly. The Energy Ball® V100 has been especially developed for
installation in built-up residential surroundings as well as remote areas. Previous installations of
the Energy Ball® in various locations have proven that it causes minimum
inconvenience, thanks to its attractive appearance. When generating
electrical energy, it does not cause any disturbance due to noise or
casting a shadow.
We deliver the complete Energy Ball® V100 package and then install it for you
on a mast reaching 10 or 12m in height. The Energy Ball® V100 can also
be installed on a flat roof using a special mount. Together, the Energy Ball® V100 and the flat roof mount reach a height of 4.5m above roof
level.
The Energy Ball® V100 also comes with a WindPower Inverter. This
converts the electrical energy generated by the Energy Ball® V100 into
electricity with a suitable specification for supplying to the mains. (230
Vac, 50 HZ). There is a lead with a plug attached to the WindPower
Inverter. After installation, you can plug this into the nearest socket and
start to use the electricity which has been generated. If you do not use
any electricity, then the Energy Ball® will deliver to the grid, which
immediately results in negative measurement of your grid electricity
meter.
The Energy Ball® V100 supplies the maximum amount of power at wind speeds of 19 m/s (wind-force 8 to 9 on Beaufort scale). See Power Curve Energy Ball® V100.
The Energy Ball® V100 can produce an output at the mains of between 100 kWh and more than 500 kWh each year, with a respective wind regime in the installation location of between 4.0 and 7 m/s. This will occur as long as the Energy Ball® V100 has been installed free of surrounding obstacles and attached to a mast which is 12 m high.

We recommend that, prior to ordering, you look into which wind regime applies to your region. The Energy Ball® V100’s total annual output will also be determined by the conditions in your area. Large buildings, turbulence and trees or other vegetation can have a negative effect on the Energy Ball®’s output. The wind in the Netherlands, for example, is often south-westerly. Positioning the Energy Ball® V100 so that the wind from that direction has clear access to it, will therefore have a positive effect on output. Positioning the Energy Ball® as high as possible also produces a better output.
