Energy Ball V200® (Battery connected / off grid)

The Energy Ball® V200 Battery Chargeris an artistic spherical wind turbine with 5 rotor blades and a diameter of 1.98 m which you can use to produce some of your own electricity supply soundlessly. We deliver the complete Energy Ball® package and then install it for you on a mast reaching 12 or 15m in height.

The Energy Ball® V200 Battery Charger comes with a WindPower Charger. This charger converts the electrical energy generated by the Energy Ball® V200 into electricity with a suitable specification for supplying to batteries. (12 / 24 Vdc).

The Energy Ball® V200 Battery Charger supplies the maximum amount of power at wind speeds of 19 m/s (wind-force 8 to 9 on Beaufort scale). The Energy Ball® V200 Battery Charger can produce a maximum of 2500 W(see Power Curve Energy Ball® V200).

The Energy Ball® V200 Battery Charger can produce an output at the mains of between 240 kWh and more than 2000 kWh each year, with a respective wind regime in the installation location of between 4.0 and 7.5 m/s. This will occur as long as the Energy Ball® V200 has been installed free of surrounding obstacles and attached to a mast which is 15 m high.

Average wind speed Output / year
m/s [Beaufort] [kWh]
7,5 4 - 5 2200
7 4 - 5 1750
6 4 1000
5 3 - 4 500
4,5 3 340
4 3 240

We recommend that, prior to ordering, you look into which wind regime applies to your region. The Energy Ball® V200’s total annual output will also be determined by the conditions in your area. Large buildings, turbulence and trees or other vegetation can have a negative effect on the Energy Ball®’s output. The wind in the Netherlands, for example, is often south-westerly. Positioning the Energy Ball® V200 so that the wind from that direction has clear access to it, will therefore have a positive effect on output. Positioning the Energy Ball® as high as possible also produces a better output.
